Building Copilot Studio agents usually starts out straightforward, but quickly becomes more complex once you’re constantly switching between tools to look up Dataverse table names, columns, and schema details. In this session, I’ll show how VS Code, the Dataverse SDK, and GitHub Copilot can streamline that process while building an AI-powered Tournament Manager application. By providing GitHub Copilot with mapped Dataverse metadata, agent logic could be generated with the correct logical names already in place and reused directly inside Copilot Studio. The session also demonstrates how AI-generated sample data can make an application and agent feel immediately usable during demos and testing. This session focuses on practical workflows, real-world examples, and lessons learned while combining GitHub Copilot, Dataverse, VS Code, and Copilot Studio to build faster and more efficiently within the Power Platform ecosystem.
